"DOUBLE TROUBLE"

This was from a wreck we had back in 1982. The packer in the distance was the guy who taught me most of what I know about packing, but he was also rather stubborn. When he ignored my suggestion that he quiet down some items that were put in a stove he was loading up, I hooked up my string and headed for camp. I didn't make it a mile before he caught up to me, and passed on by at a dead run (at least his string did). Modifications from the actual scene are as follows: We were pulling strings of 7, instead of 5. I substituted in fellow packer John Watt as the main packer. And finally, John should be pulled clear out of the saddle and up onto his horses neck.
